Walnut Canyon TrailDifficulty Rating: B
Let's get out of the heat in Phoenix and go for a hike along part of the “Flagstaff bypass” on the Arizona Trail, through a ponderosa pine forest with views of Humphrey's Peak and Walnut Canyon. This hike is 13.4 miles; however, we may cut it shorter than that depending on the weather and how much time we have. The elevation is 6,735' to 7,033'. Bring sunblock, a hat, hiking shoes, plenty of water, lunch, gas money if you're not driving, and prepare for rain just in case. For details and to RSVP, contact Jim Graham (using this form).
